Housing Alert (Bevakning)

What does it mean?

Bevakning is Bofrid's automatic housing matching system. You set your criteria — city, area, maximum rent, size, number of rooms, and other preferences — and Bofrid monitors the market for you. When a new apartment matching your criteria is published, you receive an immediate notification and are automatically created as a lead (candidate) for that listing.

The system uses geographic matching via PostGIS to find apartments within your desired area. You can have multiple active alerts simultaneously — for example, one for central Gothenburg and one for Mölndal. Alerts save enormous amounts of time compared to manually searching through listings every day, and the automatic lead creation means you are among the first applicants the landlord sees.

Key Points

  • Set criteria: location, max rent, size, number of rooms, and other preferences
  • Automatic notification and lead creation when matching apartments are published
  • Geographic matching with PostGIS — precision down to neighborhood level
  • Multiple active alerts simultaneously for different areas and criteria
  • Automatic matching ensures you are always among the first applicants

Practical Tip

Create alerts for all areas you're interested in — it costs nothing and dramatically increases your chances. Be realistic with your criteria but not too narrow — a broad alert gives more matches. Make sure your profile is complete with housing merit so the landlord has all information ready when the match happens.
